LG's games are some of the best games I've ever played, so the prospect of a book about them sounds interesting. I'd certainly /consider/ buying such a book, but I'd want to learn more about what's inside before handing over a fistful of my hard-earned cash.
To that end, why does this "gaming journalist who's written several articles about Looking Glass Studios, Thief, and related subjects in recent years, for both gamer and mainstream publications" feel the need to be anonymous here? It seems to me that a better strategy would be to use the aforementioned several articles as references to help establish his/her credibility.

I will buy it.
Me thinks its Digi, but then again he has little time to write a book. But he sure has the knowledge. Now, lets don't go on a witchhunt to find out who it is guys....

I'd buy it. I think Risquit makes some good points about broadening the scope to perhaps give the book a wider appeal, while still retaining a central focus on LGS.

Well if a book about Looking Glass Studios came out it would be a good thing for the people who don´t know much about Looking Glass Studios but who have played their games and enjoyed them.
This would be a great oppertunity to put in map what Looking Glass Studios have actually achieved over the years, but perhaps the idea came a bit late...
In any case ]I[ definetly would !

Hell yes I'll buy that book. This has got to be as about as silly a question as "Will you buy Thief 3 when it comes out?" :cheeky:

Its the fans of Looking Glass Studios who deserve the credit & attention. Excuse my crassness, but I couldn't create a bathroom in Thief to take a dump in, let alone figure out how to change the color of the sky or make new music for the level. The fans of LGS are so damn hungry for more LGS games, that they themselves become the developers & designers for the games. Yeah, yeah, I know that for every game, there are always creative fans who expand the game into what they think or thought should've been in the game, but LGS has been out of business for what, two years now? How can that be ignored? And the sheer quality of the fan missions, 3rd party tools & other cool things make me feel like LGS is, in fact, still alive & well. And it is. Because of the fans, LGS is immortal. It will live forever.
