Vanguard: just as a curiosity, why not? Surely a book would be easier on the eyes to read and could be read even if you're away from your computer, making it better than a text on a computer?
And yeah, I'll buy it. As long of course as it's sold online, or somebody else here can buy it for me (of course I'll give them their money back), because I doubt it'll reach Italy.

I wonder if they will include a CDROM containing all the FMs?
Hell, even without the CD, I would buy the book!

An e-book sounds hella cool & it would make buying it a lot easier, especially for people who can't get it by walking into a store & purchasing it. But it would also probably be easy for hackers/pirates to distribute it in P2P apps like iMesh or KaZaA. Just an afterthought. :erm:

One vote for "no" here, I just can't imagine being interested in it.

I'd love to see lots of glossy colour artwork of course, but I'd be fascinated to read about pretty much all aspects of Looking Glass and the development of their games. Artwork, anecdotes and personal recollections (lots of these, please!), and technical details a-plenty would all be fun and interesting to see.
Oddly enough, I think the only aspect I wouldn't have very much interest in is the most important when it comes to the company's downfall -- the business side of things. Obviously there would be value in detailing this aspect of the company, though, and the story would be incomplete without it, but I would hope that not too much of the book was concerned with this aspect -- I'd hope that it was more a celebration of Looking Glass and what they achieved, than a diary of what went wrong.)

Yes I'd buy the book because I miss LGS and this book would be a cool thing to do in order to get LGS in to history books. I'd like to see what games where using the LGS game engine (Thief's engine...).I just like LGS game engine that was used 4
System Shock 2, Thief - The dark project,Thief GOLD and Thief 2 - The metal age
(If there are more games that used this engine feel free to say it I'd like to know about it :) )
And finaly I think that this is a good thing to publishe a book about LGS. It will hold better on library shelves and it will be seen as a precios thing. This will also reflect our gaming generation to our future generations.

I can't believe you people are so eager to sign up for a book that hasn't been written yet, which you don't know the content of, don't know who the author is, how much it will cost, and you don't know when, where or in which formats it will be published.
Then again, I suppose most of you would buy anything which contained the letters 'LGS'
If it was a good book, I might buy it, but I couldn't answer until I saw it.
