I'm with SubjEff on this, reading your guys' convo thinking "what what?" The plot is good and intricate, leaves some food for thought, but by any means it's not that complex/deep. It's no Primer...

I think the conversation should veer more into the Hollywood/Chinese relationship at this point. This film was funded by DMG Entertainment, and is their first western product not to bomb into a flurry of C-grade obscurity.
But otherwise, I can't add much. I haven't seen the film, but from what I can tell it may be a tad bit overrated. :p

Brick is absolutely brilliant in my opinion, but it does divide opinions quite a lot. It's modern Film Noir.
