There are quite a few things that I wish could have been revealed...for instance, who is/was Alex Denton?

Umm, the next clone in the series?

Was Alex Denton the next clone, or a future, "father" clone?
Also, what was the ultimate purpose of the nano-virus? Why were Paul and JC carriers of it? They said that it had many modules and could be easily adapted to do anything. Page just used it to kill the poor and blackmail the rich, but I always suspected that there was more to it. For instance, the name "Gray Death" suggested to me that it's final purpose might have been to convert people into Grays...but maybe not. What's the point of making a race that can thrive in high-radiation areas? exploration, or preparation for a nuclear war?
But what I think the nano-virus was REALLY for comes from Anna's article. You can read it at UNATCO during one of the first missions. She says that people would be more free if we had increased survellience, and speculates about how nice it would be if there was a little camera inside everyones head.

I'm pretty sure Alex Denton wasn't a new creation DEVELOPING in the tube, I think the tubes are for dead people. I mean, that makes sense because Page has one reserved for you. I think Alex Denton was your father. Do you remember all that talk on the last level about your dad? (e.g. "Bet you didn't know your parents tried to protest when we put you in training. They loved their little boy, JC, and that's why they're dead. I'm sending up the man who did the job." And a few moments later, "You're a little faster on your feet than your daddy was.")
Also, there were two purposes of the Gray Death that we know of right now. The first and most important one was to destabilize the world's governments and throw the world into chaos, making it easier for Page to gain control. An added advantage of this gave Page the ability to bribe/blackmail the rich and important people over to his side since he controlled the supply of Ambrosia.
However, I like the theories about how it was supposed to turn people into grays, so Page's army wouldn't be harmed by radiation from atomic wars. I do not think this is the case for two reasons:
1) People were killed by the gray death. No one ever turned into a gray. What were they supposed to do, come back to life?
2) I think the term "gray death" is meant more as a play on words based on the "black death", which is another name for the Bubonic Plague (which was basically a medieval gray death)

You'll recall, though, seeing those tubes at the start of the game, and it's implied that the person in the tube is JC... and I'm sure Page says something about being where you were created when you go there...

Yeah, Fred's almost certainly right, that's wher you were grown and Alex is the next Denton coming along.
I think you're reading a bit too much into the Gray situation, IMO, they're just monkeys who were experimented on and produced some interesting qualities they wanted to study/use.
