This series having been around for a relatively long time (I'm just on Part I of VIII), I didn't want to pester the board with my questions. But I do appreciate the offer so here it is: I have been unable to find the "golden skull in the house". I must also confess I am baffled every time I attempt a new method of challenging the tree beast ing the gym, I hear Garrett saying "I didn't mean to do that." Again my thanks to anyone with a thought.

The golden skull is [SPOILER]in a secret room. It's in the room with the treebeast. Go outside and frob the telescope, it will open the secret door.[/SPOILER] I hope it helpes you :)

The treebeast is really pretty easy. [SPOILER] You can sneak past him or just sneak up behind him and backstab him. [/SPOILER]
It doesn't make any difference if you have questions about new FMs or old ones, feel free to post them. You might find it helpful to use the "search" button on the upper right first, though. You could very easily find the answer to your question without having to wait for a reply from someone.

Nightwalker. I actually ran a search for "Lord Ashton walkthrough" but came up blank which is why I went ahead and posted. I also didn't characterize my question about the tree beast very well - I had no trouble sneaking by it, I just didn't understand why Garrett always said "I didn't mean to to do that"every time I entered the gym. I figured I left out a step somewhere.
BTW Nightwalker, when I look north out my window, I can see Isle Royale.

I didn't actually mean for you to search for a walkthrough. You won't find those on the forum here. If you just search for the mission name, then you'll find lots of threads about most of the missions and quite often you'll find your question as already been asked. :)

You missed a key. Go [SPOILER] back to the Caretaker's rooms and check them very carefully for a trigger for a secret hiding place. [/SPOILER]

Hey, everyone! I'm new here, and I'm in dire need of some help with the Lord Ashton series first mission.
The problem is, I still need the golden skull, the Hand of Glory, and some loot. I've read that there's a secret passage somewhere with dead bodies in it, and I've seen the tree thing locked up in the roof gymnasium, but I don't know how to get to either place. What am I missing? Also, the large vault door is still locked and I can't figure out how to open it. Did I miss some keys somewhere?
