Argh, I spent the last 20 minutes with my nose close to the floor and I can't find the attic key. I feel like a dumb and I hate to post again, but... are you sure the key is there? I just searched [SPOILER]all teh rooms around teh swimming pool. The swimming pool on the upper floor, when you turn left from the big room with a balcony. There are rooms around teh swimming ppol and one of the rooms leads up (ladder) and there is the attic door. I search all the rooms around, especially those with the wallscreens. Argh...[/SPOILER]

Ufff, I made it! :D I am happy I could finish this nice mission. By the way, I really enjoyed it. Your missions are the only type of missions I can play together with my girlfriend, she hates all the spooky-zombie stuff and doesn't want to participate, but your missions are just so sweet and "sane", I really enjoy them. ;)

I can't find the vault key. It must hold a lot of loot, in order to attain the maximum. And I'm hoping it contains the Hand Of Glory as well, because that would complete the objectives.
A secret passageway is mentioned in the Librarian's office. This I haven't found yet and probably therein will lie the key and/or hand. I hope the trigger isn't a book because there a many many books around. And I've checked them all, I thought.
Other threads don't mention this problem, so I guess its another case of something pretty easy but I keep overlooking it. Off I go to stare at some more books.....

The secret passageway is a reference to the library of Casing the Joint and Masks (I asked Christine about that a while ago, too).
I think the Hand of Glory is [SPOILER]in a secret room under the main hall's stairs[/SPOILER] , but I could have mixed this up with another mission of the series.

To find the hand of glory[SPOILER]search the gardens in the front foyer very carfully, there is a lever between the busches....[/SPOILER]
The vault key is in[SPOILER]Lord Ashton's Bedroom, it's near the vault. Search behind the red bedcurtains for a small lever, it will make the painting move, behind the painting, you will find the key.... [/SPOILER]

Thanks to both of you. I looked in those places, but not well enough apparently.
I'm still roughly 2000 under the maximum loot. That's a lot! But I covered the whole area, so I'm wondering what it is I missed. It can't be a bunch of small things. It must be a huge cache somewhere, like the vault. I got all the masks that were mounted in a glass case in one of the rooms. Where else would I look?

Have you found the secret room in Lord Ashton's[SPOILER]office? It's in front of the vault-door. Search the fireplace for a small lever, which will open the secret door.[/SPOILER] Nightwalker has also made a lootlist for Lord Ashton you can download it at (
