If you could lockpick Leons door, you have the updated version :) In Leon's Hideout go to the
fireplace and frob the candle, it will open a secret door to the servers. Go to the ladder at the end and climb up - you will be now near the church. If you want to go back to the part of the village with the well, than go in the tunnel, there is a torchlever, which will open the gate.
I hope it helpes you :thumb:

Thanks Christine! It worked like a charm!
I didn't even notice the frobbable candle before! But it sure is good to be out of Leon's and off to finish my other objectives. Thanks again!
Is the bathroom you mentioned at the Bufford's where there's just one guard. I couldn't see any bathrooms there. Much of the remaining starting terrain is jungle-like. I climbed on rocks and went to the city and completed all objectives except the Rosary and Secret Diary...(I think I even have enough loot) Please help.

The key mentioned is in the bathroom at Lord Ashford's Hunting Lodge. It sounds like you may have missed this entirely. From the spot where you come out of the graveyard,
you cross the yard and crawl through the tunnel beside the burrick. When you come out the other side, you turn left, go past the pond and look for a tunnel on the right. That leads into Lord Ashford's grounds. When you get in the house, search HIGH
:)
The diary is in
Madame Kira's. Check out the basement rooms carefully.
Christine, what a marvellous creation ! I cannot express how i`m grateful to you for reviving again my weakering Thief addiction. Cruel reality takes all from me leaving only emptiness to feel. Time is my ally and foe. It heals and it kills. Thief is my last saving link to the virtual worlds i used to love to absorb in. And the fan-missions keep that link for everlasting. I make a bow to the ground before all who create them. And especially before you. Builder be with thou my friends!
Ok, now to the point. :) I have recently ended Lord Ashton. Wow! in the end 4 hours of intense playng suprised me greatly showing that i had collected 13677 loot out of 13677. I was so excited that my eyes even got a bit wet with tears of joy! I was so proud of myself. :) I plundered his lordship`s mansion to the last ring and coin. BTW i ocassionally found the last loot item in the bath full of water in one of the rooms on the upper floor. A nobleman was standing in there warming beside the fireplace. Do u remember that almost invisible ring? As for me i`ll always do.
So as i said i found everything. I was everywhere. I read almost everything except for Lord`s diary. Where can it be found? I understand that it`s absolutely unimportant but for me it is. I know it does exist at least in 'books' folder of the game.
This trifle is like a lost piece of a great mosaik pattern. I see the idea but something spoils the whole impression of it. Something that`s missed.
Please someone, anyone help me find the diary of Lord Ashton.
P.S. I`m sorry that i`ve posted my reply here. But i thought it would really be unnecessary to start a thread because of such a small thing. :)
P.P.S. Please don`t mind my lame English. I really hope i have explained my problem more or less clearly to you.
Thanx in advance.:erm:

Hello Crippled Burrick, thank you, I'm glad that you liked the mission. Congratiolations for finding all the loot :thumb:
The diary of Lord Ashton is one of the books in his office - were the 2 green safes are. I hope you'll find it now :)

Hello everyone, hello Christine! :D
I took your advise and searched Lord Ashton`s office once again. There were books on the shelf. Some of them i could read some of them couldn`t. The first book i took told me about the navigation globe while the other was absolutely empty. When i played "Lord Ashton" for the first time i didn`t pay much attention to it. But later i asked myself what could go wrong with it? And finnaly i`ve found it out today! The clue to the riddle is hidden within the 'TagebuchAshton.str' file. :eww:
Christine may i ask the last question about the Lord Ashton? There is a room on the upper floor of the mansion where i found a number of anchient masks behind the glass-case. I managed to take all but two. Was it me or was it intended to be so. If latter then why?

And there is always a key item placed close to that cute picture of the children! (like the rosary here!)
I found the rosary on the roofbeam right under the ceiling. His lordship is such a funny man! I wonder how did he manage to get there? Maybe he`s very skillful in acrobatics?! ;).
P.S. Christine, any way thank you once again. To say the least you`ve done a great job! :thumb: 5 times

Hello Crippled Burrick,
thanks again, I'm glad that you liked it :D
it's right two of the masks behind the glass are not frobable, the others are loot....:)
hm..... ok, Lord Ashton isn't much acrobatic - but I'm sure his daughter is.....:p ;)

I`d say she`s too acrobatic. As a result i`ve found her precious ring at the bottom of the pond. Hmm, I think i should visit lord Ashton once again later and demand that bottle...no 10 bottles of his finest wine for retrieving lady`s Carla trinket as soon as i settled the matter with certain lady Helena. I guess his lordship will fully recover by that time. We`ll sit by the fireplace in his lodge and talk about this and that. And maybe i will work for him for some time. Who knows?
