Hi, Danventry! :) I see you've migrated over like a lot of the other folk from Eidos, while the forums there are down.
The harp in Lady Irmgard's house is upstairs in Andre's room. Frob the gold filigree cup on the desk
Entering the bar is easy. The door isn't locked, so I'm not sure what your problem is. Just use lots of water arrows to put out the torches inside.
The guards by the Kindergarden: I usually get as close as I possibly can to the guard standing by the steps, then wait for the black patrolling guard to have his back to me. At that point, I go over and BJ the purple guard, head back into the shadows and wait for the black guard to start walking away from me again. Then I rush over and BJ him. If you're trying to sneak past him, I'm afraid I have no idea how to do that, so you'll have to wait for more advice from others.

IGNORE THIS:
Hmmm... Know where there are any water arrows (other than in the river by the Chapel or thebucket by the well)? My problem was the bright torches. Why can't everyone just wear sunglasses  and make this easier? About the harp: Are we talking about the same house? I've found a house with an old lady, 2 archers, and a girl, but I didn't find a desk. The only room upstairs, other than the lady's room, was a baby's room.
[EDIT]Never mind. I explored a lot more. Okay, What does this blue key go to? It says "the server" but I have NO clue what that is. And unless that will answer this, I have a second question: Where is the hide-out because I assume he hid his stone there. I thought it was in the bar, because I couldn't reach the second level (where all the candles in the windows) and all the "thievy" looking people were there.[/EDIT]

Hello Daventry,
The blue key is for the 'sewer'-gate nearly at the start of the level... You will find the missing stone there!
Happy new Year! :cheeky:

I have the server key but cant figure out where to use it. I have done everything except get the mystic heart from sir stephan. Where do I use this key??
Thanks

okay I figured out to use it on the underwater gate at the start of the level. But I think this is a bug in the level or maybe should have been done differently. There was never any sound from the gate. if its a door or something that opens it should make a sound when you use it. Even if you dont use the key, if its your hands it should make a sound like all the other doors and gates you can open. Was this done on purpose or what?? other than that I think the level is excellent.

I've been caught up with RL lately, and haven't had time to play for a little while, but got back into it again tonight - can't have all work and no play huh :)
There was this little detail that once again reminded me of how well Thief is keeping up with newer games in this mission. I was in the storage room where the key to the sewer is hidden. I was fiddling around in there, knowing there had to be something in there as one of the crates made a metallic sound when hit, but wasn't quite able to find the switch. So I climbed up on the rafters, looked around, nothing there... sat down thinking about the situation, and decided to blow up the explosive crate, just to see what happened. All it did was blow up one of the wooden crates, so thought nothing more about it, but kept looking. And there it was, the switch :) happily flipped it, but the crate wouldn't open more than an inch if not less! One of the splinters from the wooden crate I blew up jammed the crate that hid the key!
That could happen RL too! I had to laugh while exclaiming my Oh No! Little things like that makes Thief all the better to play in my opinion.
Thank you Christine! Another great mission from your hands :D

Funnily enough, I was just tearing my hair out with that exact problem too - thanks for replying to your own post! Excellent, fun missions, and definitely getting better and better as the series progresses. Great work, Christine. :thumb:

I had the same thing happen to me once with a secret sliding door. It only opened about 1 ft instead of 8ft. It seems I had picked up a pair of spectacles, and thrown them away when I realized they weren't worth loot. They stopped the door from opening! That definitely could happen in real life. That's where the word sabotage came from. French "sabot" . Means shoe. They would stop up machinery just by throwing their shoes into the gear works.:sly: :ebil:

Very Good misson like the rest!
Unfortunatly. I can't find the Soul. I got the Heart with the little surprises, but blasted if I can't find the other one.
I know it's in the sewer, but where?
hello Tsukino,
There is a
well near the pub, jump in it an swim to the mechanic church - the soul is in the water by the church.
:)
