What an ill-behaved webpage!
Practicaly forces one to run an unknown no-info-about-it Active-X control. Page should be brought down...

No it doesn't. If you're using Firefox. :p

I'll thank you to keep your rudeness to yourself - my son spent a lot of time on this mission and any criticism directed should be constructive. Encourage the very young mission authors, because this will keep the whole community alive and vibrant.
I didn't actually criticise the mission, I merely pointed out what an idiotic statement your son had made. To design a mission with the sole intention of "annoying" players is not a good idea. Period.
If he doesn't listen to criticism then he will never improve as a mission designer.

Underwater gate - how to get in?
Frob the torch on the platform above.
The frob distance has been set too short so you think it is not the correct lever. I had to actually jump on it.

I jumped up on the pedestal directly beneath and stretched ('kay, well it
felt like I was stretching), then frobbed.

True, which is what irritated me. It is not very constructive to call someone's statement stupid, it is rude. Most 14 year olds say things on the spur of the moment which don't necessarily reflect their thoughts accurately.

He certainly did not make the mission for the sole intention of annoying players, what he meant by that sentence, was that he had made this particular mission to be a 'sneak' type mission. I also thought some of the locks took overlong, and he said he did them to reflect the reality of trying to unpick a lock. The annoying part is trying to get them unpicked without being seen by guards. Anyhow, as Asgaroth is away for a weeks holidays in the city, I am basing my statements on conversations I had with him during the beta testing stage. I'm sure he won't be pleased by my 'leaping to his defence' when he returns either.

He does listen to criticism, thats why there are little or no bugs in the mission, the beta testing was very thorough, and he took most suggestions on board.

In actual fact if you creep over (walk while crouched) you can frob the torch on the 'drop down' of your creep. Asgaroth spent quite a bit of time getting this correct as he had admired it in some other FM's/OM's where the only way you could frob a lever under a desk/cupboard was to creep along and frob on the 'bob' motion.

You see I find that annoying and pointless to boot but (just to prove I'm not picking a fight) I will say it is all a matter of style. The most important thing is to get all missions tested by good beta testers who will tell you when something is either annoying or too abstruse. My latest mission has been changed so often I can't bear to load it anymore. :tsktsk:

Nice mission. Who is Bafford's son? I killed
the guy in the bedroom in the adjacent house
but the objective didn't click off. Also, am I supposed to get through
the door in the room with the spiders? I don't have a key to that.
