ok, thanks for the advice guys I have done it now and am in the level to get the last 2 talismans.
I struggled a bit, done everything a bit arse backwards! Did not know you had to do the level in a sort of order.
I checked out the walkthru from Thief-the circle.com
Well I have followed the walkthru word for word but alas am a bit confused!
I have reached the area where the bridge is supposed to slide across but nothing happens, the barred gate has opened but the bridge won't extend.
MMMMMM!
I have the hammer from the priest that is supposed to extend the bridge and have collected every item according to the walk through so i was wandering if this is a glitch. I have downloaded the latest patch though.
Has this problem occurred for anyone else?
Please give me ur feedback.

Its been a long time since i played T1, but it might help to know that you dont use a hammer to extend the bridge, its a lever and I think it goes into your inventory like a key (not like junk). Can't remember where to get it though.

just thought I would try something and alas it worked! I fired a rope arrow into the ceiling and got up there that way. Recited the prayer and away I went.
