Hello everyone!
I just really love Thief the dark project/ Thief Gold, but lost my 2cd set half a year ago. There aren't any shops that sell such an old game. Please give me some tips where to download this gem.
thank you :)

I take it purchasing a CD over the internet's not an option? I don't know if you can burn an archival copy to disc if you just download it. That would suck if you couldn't.
I found TDP and Metal Age (the Thief Plantinum combo set) in a used bookstore that sells games, too. I got TDS and Thief Gold through Amazon, but I think I bought the last cheap Gold.
Thief: The Dark Project is available as a download for US $21+ at Eidos' site. No Thief Gold, though. What the....

I had the same problem; my TDP went missing a couple years ago. I ended up buying Thief Gold online. I think I only paid about $10 (US) for it, too (used copy, of course).

Eidos was right in realising that the Dark Project was the true masterpiece. Thief Gold was not the achievement and every fanatic knows that it detracted from the original plot. :ebil:

You are greatly mistaken if only for these two reasons:
1) Little Big World
2) The Blooper Mission
(We need a bit of a detour now and again)

T2 is easy to come by as a plantinum/budget style edition and of course T:DS is very easy to come by, prob fair cheap too, the original T1 the dark project can also widely be found bundled with T2 in another platinum pack.
The great Thief Gold on the other hand Is very hard to come by, i lost my version from years ago but after getting back into thief recently I bought a used but great condition Thief Gold off E-bay a week ago, it is the USA style NTSC but still works on my Australian PC.
Thief Gold is very RARE.

Once you acquired it, I strongly advise to download a crack and then put the discs in the shelf. I still have two copies of Thief I and one for TII and TDS, and they all are only in my shelf and nowhere else. :)
If I remember correctly, to disable the CD checks on T1 you don't even need a crack because you can also modify one of the INI files yourself, which is perfectly legal. For TDS you can download the editor which also removes the copyprotection and is also legal. Only for T2 you need some tool.

Thief Gold is just better than The Dark Project because there is more in it!
and that eidos link doesn't look like Thief Gold, I may be wrong...
