With T4 on the way, I decided that I would fire up my old TDP, T2, and potentially T3 discs and run through some FMs as well.

As it turns out, I no longer have the installation media for any of these three games anymore. I tossed a bunch of old computer games a while back, and I'm expecting I stupidly threw these out as well.

I see that Steam will sell all three together... will T2X work on the T2 from Steam, and can these be installed on a Windows 7 64-bit machine?

I would also appreciate any tips on updates to install to support FMs, etc... thanks again.

yes, the GOG, and steam releases will work fine.

The steam version is completely DRM free. Just copy someplace other then your steam folder before patching.
