Lost Painting on the wall in Thief 1 Training mission after using Tfix - by bjc_sp

Hi Guys, I got a very strange problem. I used to use an 1.14 Thief Original Euro Version, and there are always two paintings on the wall when you get into the training level. However, when I use Tfix, the paintings disappears, really strange! Can anyone help me with that? THanks!

And these paintings well-explained everthing happened before the things happened in Thief 1. Like the one on the right explains that the Trickster and his buddy were failed by the hammerites)
Hope you guys can add this fix in Tfix, so it won't change my version from a Euro one into a NA one :)

actually, it probably is - will check the level and the screenshots when I get back from work (media sites are all blocked here so I can't see anything). if it's missing in the TFix level, it means that LGS has removed it in the final version of the map, and that means to "fix" this, it would have to be re-added manually. which is something I might, or might not do, we'll see.
the problem is that there are a lot of Thief versions out there, so it's almost impossible to keep track of all the tiny differences and details. In the future, I'm hoping to have (two) full, complete sets of final, fixed maps that would unify everything, basically creating a "platinum" versions of both T1 and TG.
but, one way or another, this does not change the fact that TFix will always change "your" map version into the "TFix version". whatever little regional things were in "your" maps will be gone.
such is the price for convenience.

Got you, And I've just found the paintings, seems LGS moved the paintings to Lord Bafford's mansion :)
(PS: I like T1 better than TG, and as I can't use the NA 1.33 patch to update my EU version, I found LGS makes many change in the final version. They even add more enemies in some of the mission, and add more dialogue that Garrett will say during gameplay.)

in that case you should be glad that TFix works
at all, as running without the official patch is untested and completely unsupported.

Yeah, I'm lucky :)
Oh and I have just found some map change also happened in both mission 1&2(Bafford&Mine). I've played my EU version for more than 10 years and I remember exactly every detail in the game. They did do some map change in the updated version (:)And I also change all the map and level edit back to my version by copy the old .MIS files to the Tfix Patched T1)
PS: I think it's impossible for you to put all the changes in a final version of Tfix, cuz there are lot and I think many people even don't know the maps have changed. I got used to the old maps or I just don't want to make any different feelings. Ten years play with the old map, that's hell of memories :)
BTW, do you need my version of the maps for study?

yeah, that could be useful. zip them (including any *.dif files) and upload them somewhere, sendspace for example.

Is TFix installing the Enhancement Pack? Because I noticed when making Drymian Codex that some paintings in the EP are slightly thicker, which pushes the canvas part of the object into the wall in some cases. I still saw the frame in that case though, so this is probably unrelated.

yes (selectable during install) - and if you find such a problematic place in the OMs, please do report it, this is trivial to fix, especially if you provide a quicksave as well.

Here it is.
I've compared all the MIS files between the EU 1.14 version and the NA Version. Seems like they changed on MISS1.MIS, MISS2.MIS and MISS14.MIS.
(BTW, Can someone tell me if there are surveillance cameras<can be destroy by sword> in the MINE/Prison mission in T1??? I never see that before, and I think it is not in 1.14 version but in 1.33 and Gold)
