Well you can't expect gunsmoke to keep up his posting-rate of 100 posts/week if he's going to be slowed down by things like checking sources. :p

Lost Planet was a very average title, can't get too exited about a sequel.

well if you're interested in playing the game but dont want to pay full price for it (like me, played the demo) you can get it on steam for 5 bucks this weekend.

Thanks.
The added features in the Colonies Edition don't sound very interesting, just seems like arcadey bullshit to me. I wouldn't care about the MP either.

Lost Planet: Colonies
Lost Planet: Colonies is a gold edition version of Extreme Condition for the Xbox 360 and PC.[31] The game includes new multiplayer maps, a Human vs Akrid multiplayer mode, and a selection of new multiplayer characters and weapons.[32]
Colonies also introduces four new single-player modes: Score Attack (points are given for each kill dependent on kill type and weapon used, akin to the co-op mode in Halo 3), Time Trial Battle Mode (similar to the Arcade mode of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare), first person shooter mode, and Unlimited Mode (which must be unlocked).[33] The game also includes cross-platform play between Xbox Live and Games for Windows - Live users.[34] The Colonies edition is not compatible with the original Lost Planet save games or multiplayer game, so players of each release may only play with others who have the same release.[35] The game was released in Japan on May 29, 2008;[34] in North America on May 27; and Europe on June 6.

Lost Planet is impossible to run. I cranked the settings in the demo and it was like "man, who do you think you're kidding you are not going to have any fun"
and guess what

Yep.
Use that X360.
