there is no difference in performance between dx9 and dx10. nearly exactly the same framerate, and it's dx10 that's actually a couple points higher on average
Anybody know what engine this game was made from? the cutscenes are very MGS.
Depends on what settings you're running with I guess, 'cause according to (
http://www.gamespot.com/features/6171326/index.html) this it's a bit slower unless you're running it at 1600x1200 and above with HQ shadows off.

I have shadows set to Medium
and AA off.
everything else is maxxed and im' running at 1680x1050
im only averaging about 28 - 29 fps. and w/ the same settings dx10 is about 1fps higher on average. thats using the games "inhouse" benchmark

The demo is up on Xbox Live now. I'd love to hear some impressions.

^^^Me too! Man, this is one game I am banking on. I don't generally go for this kind of game, but after reading and watching anything and everything I can find on this game, I am frothing at the mouth in anticipation. It just looks fun. What every game should strive to be, but unfortunately the industry seems to have forgotten this fundamental.

I was about to make some snide remark about there being 4 of your threads in a row, but then again if it wasn't for this post I wouldn't be downloading said demo -right now- so o/\o.

Looks and feels just like part 1. Graphical enhancements here and there but none to write home about. Basically the only particular difference I see is that there's less snow, which is a good thing.
