Great mission! Lots of fun. :)
I had to come look for tips on some things:
The invalids. I dragged them down to the torture chamber and tossed them thru the cage bars trying to get them over the drain, all to no avail. Had to look here to get the real story on what to do with them.
Also I could not find those speed fire arrows. I had crawled through that tube several times and noticed the sparks but never put it together.
And I still haven't found Dewdrop! I see one clue here it is "far South" and another that it is in the area with the home with the Alba note (which is Northerly, not to the South). I will keep searching...
Also I am still looking for a 3rd secret - I read a clue here to walk the edge of the river and listen for a mouse. Well there is a mouse on a non-frobbable crate above the river near the city gate, but I can't find any secret there yet. Still looking...
Also it is really easy to climb "out of the level" in the city section and get almost anyplace; most or all of the city roofs, for example. :thumb: :thumb:

Well I don't a remember a mouse, but
have you looked behind the crate? If its where I think you mean.

This crate has a mouse on top of it. I looked behind it, and it is one of the few crates in the city that can be whacked and destroyed with the sword. Didn't see anything behind or under it. I might be in the wrong spot still. This crate is along the edge of the river, above it and near the city-gate tunnel, in a little indent alongside a building.

I think that crate you busted up may have been the key to your obtaining the third secret. However, there is another way I used a barrel that is "pushable", floatable, and then climbable to be able to get where I needed to get...hint, hint.;)

There are no mice in this mission or anywhere in Thief. There is a rat on a crate near the city gate, and the secret there is triggered simply when the rat sees you. You may have to get close to the rat, but there is something behind the crates. If there is nothing behind the crates then you have been there already. :)

Mice. Rats. They're all the same... :laff:
Anyways, I finally got them all - and it was case of "operator malfunction".
I started a new mission and went straight to the city gate area secret spot and found it; then remembered for sure getting it before.
What happened was that in my main game I had found an easy way up and onto the rooftops and other off-limits areas. After doing a bit of exploring, I reloaded for some reason; and that messed me up.
The reason was because I had found the police station secret after first getting onto the roofs and then when I reloaded I "lost" that secret. But I didn't realize it. In my mind I had it. And I also had the "H".
So in my mind I needed the one near the city gate (when I needed the one in the police station). That sent me on the long, drawn-out search for that city gate area secret.
It was finally resolved when I started a new mission specifically to go look there, and once I saw it I knew I already had it. That implored me to go check the police station again (since I also verified that I did have the "H").
I still haven't found Dewdrop. Any hints? :erm:
Thanks for all the help!

DewDrop can be found in the landlord's house. Look carefully because DewDrop won't exactly be out in the open.
btw where did you manage to climb up to reach the roof tops?

Where the Moss Arrow mysteriously drops from out of no-where. By the Jessica Alba house I think.
Take you inventory and a taff load of wine bottles, start stacking and you will eventually be able to jump to the top.

To get on the roofs you don't need to stack anything. :p
Just go climb the
ladder to the gear factory roof (which you climb to get to another ladder to a gambling room).
Turn and face the next factory building and run and jump. You'll easily mantle up onto its roof. From there you can get nearly everywhere in the city section.
I'll check for
Dewdrop this evening when I get home from work.
Thanks,
Martek

I thought I made all of the bottles unfrobable. ;)
