The first two buttons on top open and raise the elevator in the cell hole just outside of the jail. The other buttons are non-functional.
The big yellow X is nothing more than graffiti. :)

I'm confused with what to do to save John. I've completely cleared the way for him. The first time I run beside him only to get to City Gates, and there's a bluecoat waiting for him. Second try, I freed John, ran way ahead of him, with a fire arrow prepared, got to the gates, ready to shoot the guard waiting for John and noone is there!! So now John and I are just standing around scratching our heads and wandering what went wrong.
The same thing was happening to Jack, he was returned to the cell, so I thought the objective would be ticked off. Otherwise it would be a vicious circle.
I haven't met my loot quota though, so I understand why the game isn't over, but those two objectives should be ticked off unless I'm missing something?

How do I open the secret door that's at the bottom of the outside area where the 4 skulls are? I've already opened John's cage, just haven't revived him yet cos I still have a couple of objectives to do.

dml to fix a few misplaced AI's as well as a few walk through barrels.
Note: In this mission a gang of thieves go round attacking the Pagans and when they fall over they sometimes fall into odd looking locations (heads sunk into ground, limbs clipping into walls) so you may well see some misplaced objects that could not be fixed via a dml.
