This is one trippy looking game, but watching the video on the site makes me think there are loads or great features.

The visuals remind me of the old days of gaming, when imagination was more important. Sadly I'll likely never get to play this as I have little time for gaming these days and a massive (massive!!!) backlog of games to play.

Is there a demo now, or can you just download the client and look at a pretty menu until you cough up the subscription fee?

I'd be all over this if it was just the building and no forced fighting. Or perhaps a Dorf Fortress-like seasonal monster wave.

I played the beta and found it to be a finnicky, obtuse mess. I love the aesthetic and the feel of the world but I don't think twitchy shooting and jumping are the best way to experience it. I'm not sure how much has changed since then but I'm going to guess that mechanics have been tightened rather than changed.
