I laughed all the way through Cars 2.

They`re right...I`m glad some kids still dig these timeless classics.
Hanna Barbera might have a bad rep for low production values, but most of it`s shows were quite fun and I`d still watch them. With exception of Scooby Bloody Doo and Jodie & The Pussycats, that is. Space Ghost FTW.
The original Looney Tunes are obviously classics, although the later stuff is basically your standard soulless 70's/80's license tie-in garbage.
Hanna Barbera were pretty awesome until the late 60's. Seriously, what an awesome catalog of great animation: Tom & Jerry, The Huckleberry Hound Show, The Quick Draw McGraw Show, The Flintstones, The Yogi Bear Show, and The Jetsons.
Cartoons were pretty much corporate licensed/saturday morning limited animation between that period and the early 90's, although Bakshi did Mighty Heroes and New Adventures of Mighty Mouse which were pretty awesome. Ren & Stimpy got people back into making real cartoons again, and the last 20 years have been chock full of great creator-driven stuff. I'm not a huge fan of Powerpuff Girls or Spongebob but they're pretty awesome cartoons.
