It's also a handy way to find the last bit of loot. Do an edit_load_savegame quick.sav. Then do a Generate Report. The missing loot will be listed.
Or, if you accidentally wasted that one and only rope arrow, edit the savegame to add one near the player. Comes in handy.

Wow, that's a marvelous tip. Thanks Terry!

You can also go to Hilight->Hilight Object By Property, and enter "loot" (without the quotes).
Then, select Hilight->Hide Non-Hilighted, and only objects with the loot property will be displayed in blue.
To make everything else reappear, select Hilight->Show Non-Hilighted.

dromed says "no such command" when I type
edit_load_savegame quick.savAnyway when I try NV's suggestion I end up with a map with no brushes or objects.
Edit: I needed to have my mis file in the Thief2 folder.

Try edit_load_game saves/quick.sav
Yandros on 14/3/2016 at 12:42
Indeed, as ffox says the commands are edit_load_game and edit_save_game followed by the relative path and filename.
