After talking to my coordinator this morning, she said that when they are getting offers my name comes up "very often" in the data cross filter that they use to do all of this. Meaning, I'm probably on average somewhere between number 10 and 3, though obviously the variables from donor to donor can change that each time. But at least I know I'm looking at months not years for the first time.
I really appreciate you guys who sign up as donors - it's such a big thing to ask of another human being when you're in a situation like mine, but it's the thing that can potentially give us our life and family back. It's always encouraging to hear that people sign up of their own volition.
