I think Thief would be best in an anime. You could keep the original voices, and get a nice, thiefsy feel, COMPLETE WITH CAPPUCINO! :laff: But im not talkin Pokemon-style anime, im talkin maybe something along the lines of Vampire Hunter D type anime. And if you dont know what Vampire Hunter D is, i want you to kill yourself. not really, just watch it, foo!

actually, that WOULD be interesting. anyone who's ever seen VHD: bloodlust (*raises hand*) would agree that that particular art style lends itself very well to thief.
as far as live action would go, i'm not so sure a TV series would be the best idea, unless it were a short run, maybe two seasons at the most. it would have to have a very high production quality, and it has to be kept the fuck AWAY from other "non-standard" (i.e. procedural dramas, reality shows, 'dramadies', etc.) programs such as buffy or the 35982095 sci-fi shows i see. if i had my way, in terms of visuals it'd probably be something like "brimstone" (which was awesome and fox are a bunch of goatraping bastards for cancelling it. as i understand it the newly hired president of FOX at the time (formerly pres of comedy central) wanted to get rid of shows like millennium and brimstone and even x-files and replace them with more "standard" fare.)
