I eventually got him with one of those syringes.
BTW, have you or anyone else besides me, purchased the game yet? For me, this one was more anticipated than the projected highest-selling game of this generation: Modern Warfare 2. I don't know, it is these more niche-y titles that get me excited and are Day-One Purchases for me.
This game is very tough, though the first one was as well. I failed the mission that has you attempting to sneak into the back of the strip club (where the video was captured) a good 10 times. I was still trying to wrap my head around both what the game expects of you, and the more advanced stealth/assasination mechanics.
There seem to have been more options available to you in the beginning levels of the 1st game. I seemed to be utilizing my Thief skills. I found myself surveying my immediate surroundings by sticking to walls and cover, peeking around corners until I got a solid understanding of my situation. This one seems to consist of much more trial-and-error based gameplay. Yeah, you have choices, but overall it boils down to figuring out what the devs want you to do. I don't know, Manhunt just felt more organic/dynamic.
The new game has a larger selection of weapons/items available to you, and relatively earlier than Manhunt. The equpippable items are diverse and more interesting as well. Goes a long way to improving my enjoyment of the game, and it's sort of like the last-gen console game 'Black' in that the weapons/items are the true stars of the show. Manhunt had a fairly basic set of murder tools, and the new ones are far more imaginitive.
ThoughI really hope that this game doesn't devolve into a kill.switch/Gears of War clone in the last half like the 1st game did. Sure, finally being allowed to grab an enemy's firearm feels really good in Manhunt, but the dramatic shift in gameplay and tone that resulted from the guns appearance really hurt the flow, feel, and style of the game. Sure, I'd like to wind up with firearms in my inventory, I just hope their importance is diminished and that they are optional. Yeah, they are technically optional in Man-hunt, but good luck getting through that shit without one.
So. Manhunt 2. Good so far, though the story is a bit obtuse. It hasn't really done a good job of explaing where you are and what you are attempting to accomplish here. The characters' development is somewhat lacking as well. So far, I haven't obtained any real feelings for any of them, nor have I an understanding of who they really are. To be fair, I am still only a couple of hours in and they apparently have adequate time to fix this quibble.

I'll probably give this one a whirl next year when I've got too much to do to play anything more in-depth. I have the PS2 version and wasn't impressed, maybe I'll like the PC version more.

GODDAMN this game is short. The ratings mean nothing, nada, zip. No rewards. BTW,this is a port of the Wii version.
