Hey!
Does anyone know if there's a map, that shows the whole city with its streets, buildings + descriptions, etc.?

hmmm.. 90 pages :D not bad... are there some good drafts already?

wow, that's what i need.. thanks a lot.. but what exactly is wrong with that map.. that it isn't "the final draft"? Is there still missing something?
edit: and is there also a map of the whole map? you know.. the other cities, etc...

We're not done. This is the best we've got, and the pages following that to the end of the thread explain that we are waiting on a couple of talented people (real life being an understandable distraction) to bring it to the next level, and then we can look at filling it in with totally fan-made material not found in the games. We weren't going to proceed to a better draft until we had settled on mission map placement, as many of them are our best guesses, using everything we know that the games provide.
As you can see, each entire mission is tiny compared to the overall City. The end product will have to be a zoomable map to get in close enough to identify individual buildings well.
Blackbrook, Bohn, Cyric, the Esse Range, Illyria, Throve, and New Hope, etc., are in locations never described, at distances completely unknown, and the only available World Map has lots of stuff that is just made up by fans, though a lot of good work went into it.

Most names on the world map are not even in the games, but are fan-tributes to the makers and other sources.

That map that jtr7 linked (or anyway, the latest version of it) is "final" in the sense that the location of all the OMs are locked into place and very probably won't be moving. As a canon-material map without the bells and whistles, it's finished. It's really just on the stylistic end that work is pending.
(I don't know which OMs jtr7 is thinking about whose location isn't "finalized" in the sense of surviving the loooong vetting process, getting consensus, and generally being the best location for it, all things considered; the outlying areas on the style maps, maybe? ... but that itself is sort of more a style issue.) Yes, it won't ever be official canon, but practically every argument for every OM has been exhausted and the best reasons nudged the OMs to the best locations they got, with no compelling other reason to move them away.
And it's the community map. Some people may still have a private preference to move something, but it's right that this map be the publicly vetted and consensus one. The point is, it deserves a LOT of respect, much much more than a fan just randomly slapping down locations because lol it looks good. You can take it to the bank ... then steal it from that bank to do a job.
Then there is talk about getting FMs and non-/semi-canon stuff in, but that's really a separate project after this one. And AFAIK, the only semi-canon thing left are the placement of Thief 2 Gold missions, but since those never got finished (much of them are still blocky squares), they'd be out of place in their current form ... although we might still tie down their location.

@demagogue: I wasn't referring to any final placement, but the final look and interaction. I said we "weren't" going to proceed, not "aren't". We are currently ready and waiting. :D
