Hey Doc, can we have the latest update of your map, please?

Plus, making the river smaller would possibly result in a more regular river bank. As long as there are not hundreds of large rocks or wave breakers I don't think it would have this jagged shape.
Feel free to draw it yourself and PM me the result (I suggest using Gimp's path-drawing tool and exporting it as SVG, NOT using inkscape).

I didn't want to create a new one, just to get rid of the too big spiky things. However, I haven't got GIMP (yet), and this would probably take long if you insist on me doing that.

All I'm saying is that I made my best shot at drawing from T3 manual map, and that wasn't making everyone happy, thus me asking for someone else to draw it since it is really easy to do with a program that is available on all the major operating systems (note also, that it would need to extend over the area of T3 manual map, to cover the area displayed in the Doc's map ie. this threads main map, as pointed out by Doc and Sola).
Now, the navigation controls asked by the username "all" are in place, and although seemingly working as they should, they might need some further tweaking. I should also mention that the navigation controls were made by Juliana Williams and Andreas Neumann (and possibly others) of carto.net, and they are licensed under the LGPL (url: (

I wonder if it's viable to try and utilize a Google-map style interface with the City Map - I'll double check when I'm on my home computer, but I believe I recently found a gaming wiki with using similar functionality.
[EDIT: Never mind - I finally took a look at the carto.net site, thanks to MorbusG, and it seems more than suitable]
Additionally, Doc - we may want to look into a wiki format for the final stages of this project; we've already got a google-doc of the Legend, and I'm certain that we can find space at the Thief Wikia site, where there's already a move to fully document all in game references to the same districts we've been working on for the mapping project, thanks to jtr7, Sxerks and others.
Anyone else have a chance to try mapping things out?

Sorry for the delayed response time, I just finished moving from one state to another. Anywho, it's definately a good idea, Sola, one I'll have to look into as the map itself materializes in its finalized state.

While we're waiting...
This didn't turn out how I'd like, and it needs a lot more work, but (
http://i39.tinypic.com/1z51c2o.gif) here's a miniturized version of something I was working on. (Original is too big for an image host).
The idea was a b/w map and color locations would make them stand out more, but I'm not sure about that anymore. And I need to re-label everything and re-draw a lot.

Hahaha! Thanks!:thumb:
It's certainly a lot easier than building up a guesstimated terrain in TerraGen from the topography of the missions.:p
