I think I'll see if I can't get a few overhead view maps created. I've got an idea that might work, just depends on how much cantankerous the maps are for screenshots. It'll be tedious, but I think well worth the effort. What about thief 3 maps? They aren't that large, so I can't imagine it would be very difficult to make overhead screenshots.

There are some in the T3 guide. I could scan them but this might be difficult due to copyright issues. Plus, it would look grainy. One sample shot should be floating here somewhere.

It would be less tedious to just flood-fill the (

When I've got the time, I try out making one map and see how it comes out. You do have to admit, it should come out pretty high-res. :cheeky:

I've actually tried Sxerks' suggestion before in the SVG, and it'll look somewhat like this:

I had one testfile with added lightposts and stuff, but that started to feel like overkill.

With some tweaking, OPDE should be able to render overhead views (for T1&2 missions) with proper textures, lighting and even all objects in place. Maybe even height based layers.
