It doesn't explicitly state mmo-rpg, so it could be not shit.
But yea, would much rather have another solo game.

Damn... I hoped they would make a new Riddick game now that another movie is about to come out, but this doesn’t sound too good. Wish they would simply do a sequel to Assault on Dark Athena.
I guess that the best case scenario would be basically a normal Riddick game with strong co-op element… we’ll see.

That was the (

It does mean, however, that it's the only game where you get to punch Xzibit in the face with a pipe.

I believe this video from a couple of years ago might shed some light on the reasons behind the new Riddick game being an MMO. :sly:

Coming to think of it, I did always picture Ludacris as a fan of Kinect Star Wars' Galactic Dance-off...

I see it more like combining elements of demons/dark souls style invasion. Riddick made bounties a pretty big part of their lore, in dark athena you even collect bounties for other people around the galaxy that unlocks lots of extra goodies. And it takes place on a bounty hunter ship too or something.
I think it would be really cool to have a persistent bounty on you based on your actions in game, a system where you can invade, or be invaded by other players. It wasn't called an MMO out-right, but something like an MMO. So I'm thinking like the Souls games or Star Citizen. Which would just be great.

That would be kinda good I guess. Watchdogs seem to feature something similar, since other players might actually show up and attempt to hack your character’s phone to steal money and information even though the game is essentially single player.
However the main question for me is what happens with gameplay after the shift towards MMO takes place - as long as they stick to what made previous Riddick games good (ie stealth focussed first person action, great close combat, certain level of exploration and interaction with NPCs) I would not have that much of a problem with the switch towards multi-player (especially if you could play the game on your own if you decide to).
If they actually turn the game into something like WoW... well :nono:

This is probably obvious to most people, since Starbreeze infamously had a high turnover rate during the troubled development of Syndicate 2012, but anyway:-
