Hi there,
On the Casing and Mask missions, I made the wicked discovery that I could lead the ghost around and have him annihilate everyone (on Expert difficulty):cheeky:. This was pretty fun, but ending the Mask mission is getting tiresome.
I've got my loot, but I can't seem to accomplish the goal of discovering the letter from Karras...and I can't find the 3rd mask either.
I read something about perhaps needing the ghost to see the bodies discovered in the library? In the Casing mission, I do remember Garrett mumbling a line when I went in the secret room in the library, but he didn't say anything in the Mask mission. Is this room somehow essential to completing the mask mission?
Basically, can you tell me exactly where this letter is and the 3rd mask? I got the two masks that were in trapped rooms next to each other.
Lastly, I can't enter a locked door that is kind of isolated down a corridor with a "camera"/bomb launcher guarding it. I got 2 keys from guards but these don't seem to work on any doors!:tsktsk:

Go back to the library. Check the upper floor to the right of the stairs. Look at the Alpha listings for the shelves. You should notice something out of order.
If you then go back to the bottom level of the library and start with the book on the table, read the love note. Then checkout that lower level until you have found and read a total of 5 such notes.
Then go back to that top level far corner and look again. :)
There are THREE exibition rooms up there, not TWO, and you also need the Convertor.

thanks blackman,
I guess I was basically tired of running through that level and got sloppy. Having said that, I hate those two missions. And the correspondance "appearing" after you read the 5 books is just stupid IMO. I actually walked over the correspondance before I noticed it.
Also, found this information from other posts:
<<The last one is upstairs:
- Southeast corner, on windowsill between between Y shelves>>
...and of course there's no "Y" shelves upstairs, so then I was really getting ill.
And WTF with the "elevator" and other door that won't unlock?!? I'll look that up next.
But anyway, I got through the damn thing, thanks.

Forget the Elevator and the door. Eye candy only. But if you insist, you can bash your way in with your sword.

Eye candy...ggrrrrrrrr...
thanks for the confirmation. I just killed everyone on "expert" level, courtesy of ghostie...so I guess all's fair.:weird:
I didn't know you could bust down door's w/sword either...will have to try that.

There are other places where your sword is useful to cut planks off closed doors and so forth.
In RTC in TDP, for one.

The sword can be used to (as far as I remember) break down any wooden door, or open any wooden box (even the pretty blue ones).
I'd assume that, if you use it enough times, the blackjack could too. But I've never tested that theory.
