rubbish. the bow upgrade is on top of soulforge. you get up there using crate stacking outside, get to the peak of the roof, get the bow upgrade, crawl through the secret roof vent which leads into the sealed chamber where karras is hold up, and it pierces his armour. the secret alternate ending to T2 that very few people have ever discovered.

The ambient and setting are just marvellous - and I could listen to this ancient 'Gypsy' song on the viktrola all day.

Had this song in my head for the last few hours, hope it dampens it for awhile when I replay it now. Anyone remember the 1st Snow mission? It was around the same time this FM was released. I'm guessing since I thought of that one & can't remember its name either the song just happened to pop up in my head. Working on finding the Snow one, cuz I never finished it... 3 times the charm :)

Thanks for mentioning this mission. I've just played it for the first time. Short and very clever. For some reason I couldn't pick up a few small pieces of loot and I didn't get to use the box of matches. Reading the thread it looks like I need to explore further. I understand the author doesn't visit any more, nevertheless well done and thank you! :thumb:

The song "Gypsy" is from Michael Flately's Lord of the Dance. The music is written by Ronan Hardiman. After hearinh this song I decided to download the whole cd. Anyway this is one of the most memorible missions.

You're gonna get a kick out this.
So I started Binge watching Season 4 & realized the intro song for the TV series is the same as the gypsy song in Mask of the Red Death. Did not see that coming :joke: Took the 2nd episode for me to catch on. Now I'm wondering what they were playing season 1-3? & the one from the 80's which song was that? Is it the same one? Never even thought of it, now that I think back.
It's fun when I hear certain sounds and now This from the Thief games in movies & stuff. I usually point it out to this forum :) :devil: There's a thread for that somewhere here too.
