I must be a world class idiot . . . but how do you kill Red Death? I tried hacking that fello to death but he just wouldn't die, I threw the spiders at him too, but still no go. Any ideas? Other than the fact that Garrett is immune to the red death gas, even after half an hour:weird:, this mission is sweet! I adore the ambient music that plays after everyone dies, I found the sound file and played it on a continuous loop, lol. :thumb:
Sluggs on 1/3/2004 at 08:30
Exactly what Spiders did you throw at him? (Can't recall any throwable Spiders)
As for the Red Death
Look for something in a bucket down that TrapDoor and around the Cemetary.
raetsel on 1/3/2004 at 08:32
yeah, garrett is mostly immune (because i can't stand time limits & getting killed slowly would give you one)
as for the red death...
right before you exit out into the graveyard, there is a spider web with something useful for him behind it - you can't get it without slashing the web - there's also another in a crack beneath the large grave thing outside
edit: yeah, and what sluggs said :)
there are throwable spiders
spider eggs in a spider chest in the first room (the blue room)
:ebil: Muuuuuch better. The bastard's dead, and I think I set a personal record for the amount of damage received ever, even including my first time through Thief 2. I received 301 damage dealt that time, this level left me with 690.
I know it's been said before but . . . :laff: . . . I loved the dancing haunt! I was just wondering, did you get the motions from the robot in System Shock 2? When I read this thread and saw the bit about the haunt it was the first thing that came to mind. But you must have tampered with the motions if you did, I thought the haunt's dancing looked way better. :thumb:
Holy shit, you guys both answered in under 20 minutes? At midnight? I thought I wouldn't get an answer until the morning or something. I'd switched to the OMs already. I guess I'll return, but first . . .
I loved this FM to death!!!!!! I loved the haunt, the custom objects, and how most of the rooms where all 1 color. When I got stuck, I had to wait for the phone line to be free before I could come online for help (damn dial-up to hell!), so I took off and hid in a corner of the blue room and listened to the ambient music. I looove that ambient music to death! It's probably the best ambient music EVER! I had to swipe it from the .zip file so I have more Thiefy music to listen to when I'm brainstorming. This little FM gets :thumb::thumb:!

I can't get out of the party rooms!!! :laff:
the only thing that happens when I push that button in the pool is the table moving away....
edit: never mind... it just took at bit more pushing...:erm:

the motions i used were all in thief's motions.crf, but were unused by the game (what they were doing in there & why, i don't know, but glad they were - the macarena one still cracks me up even)

heh - well, it was later here than that (for sluggs too) :)

i wish i could remember what i cut that out from (was well over a year ago) - i'll have to check all my old backup file stuff & see if i can find the whole thing & update the readme
i'm glad you enjoyed it :)
@ Master Garrett : yes, seems a couple people have had this problem - fortunately pressing the button a few times does seem to get it to work - not sure why it doesn't work straight off for some (except maybe having to do with (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=79622) traptimedrelay script - which is used in that spot)

I did a bit of checking through the sound files I pulled from FMs, and I'm pretty sure I tracked them down. The FM is Lord Alan's Basement, and there's 5 sound files, m04ring, m04lo, machlg05, machlg08, and machlg09. I think the only one I didn't hear in the FM was m04ring, it's a little clip that played just before m04lo in Lord Alan's Basement.
