Yes it is. Just not here yet :(
Oh well, I won't get to play it til mid Feb anyway. Anyone playing yet? I've read a bit about the full release (I played the open beta) and its sounding all good. Looks like a mic is a must though and I hope that Game (UK) are doing a MAG + mic deal.
I know I did another thread on this but now its out I thought a new one more appropriate. I'll be posting my in game contact details asap, which probably means Feb 16th.

Know some people who played the beta and everything seems to be coming together great. Going to wait a month or two to see what type of people it attracts. Can be good, can be ruined.

Doesn't the PS3 just use Bluetooth? You don't have one of those lying around, Subjective?

I played a few games tonight—it's a lot like the beta, though I think it takes more XP to level-up now. Best Buy had a bundle that included the official PS3 headset, which turns out to be clearer-sounding than the Xbox's. I'd recommend it if you plan on playing MAG with any seriousness. You don't need to be constantly talking, but it sure helps to maintain some level of communication, which (thankfully) has actually been happening in the early games. Some people are still obviously learning the ropes (those who didn't play the beta, I guess), but of the five or so games I played, only one of them was filled with uncooperative teammates. And a lot of people haven't even earned the resuscitation skill yet.
Deathmatch turns out to be kinda boring, but good I guess if you just want a quick game. Didn't get to try acquisition or domination yet. "Five full gameplay modes" is a bit of misleading, considering the fifth mode, "Directives," just drops you randomly into one of the remaining four. Still, the game is promising so far, and the minor fixes from the patch are appreciated. Getting into matches seemed faster than the beta, and I only experienced a tiny bit of lag once.
Oh, and I started a clan: Profit&Pleasure (cause that's what we play for)

all are welcome to join, of course (if you're SVER). I'm having trouble figuring out how to organize matches though. It seems the only way to play with clanmates is to watch their gamercard constantly and join whenever you see they're already playing.

No I don't have a bluetooth mic lying around. I'll be getting the official one as I hear it's very good.
I cannot join SVER Aja - too many people have joined since that free SVER content was given out with many of the games. Seems it was a ruse to get more people into SVER after the low population in the beta.
Nope, I think it will be Raven for me.

WTF? That is shitty. Xbox Live seems to be showing its strength here.

That's cool. I was just asking because most everyone I know has bluetooth headset for their phone sitting around, whether they use it or not. I figured you might as well. Yeah, I reckon the 1st-party solution would be the better quality solution. Playstation components traditionally have been.

Ah, didn't know about the free content. I just joined because that's who I was with in the beta (plus they've got a cool Stalker/Fallout vibe). Oh well, maybe I'll run into you someday.

How does the game handle microphones with so many people? Is it area chat only?
