Ahaha! Nice one and a very borderline case indeed, this very discussion was inspired by a comparison of TDK's PG-13 rating which even I feel was both manufactured and made a little too lightly.

I agree. When I saw it I was like, if there was one more dead body it would've gotten an R rating.

It's interesting how they borrowed the comic panel layout from the game.
This continues to look fairly slick. It looks like they're using a lot of the game for a storyboard. As long as they don't go overboard with the exposition (Silent Hill, *sigh*) or knacker the thing with stupid plot twists, this could actually be good.

In terms of its storytelling it definitely is noir pastiche. Close to parody, admittedly, but Max Payne tells its story using a number of noir tropes.
