got a source for that?
It's just rumours so far, but (
http://softrockhallelujah.blogspot.com/2007/09/quick-bits-games-edition.html) here you go.
Quote:
Max Payne 3 will see release in either summer or fall of next year for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3
The believed-to-be-canceled game that was at development alongside the previously-believed-to-be-canceled Manhunt 2 at the now-defunct Rockstar Vienna has not been canceled and is currently being developed by an unknown Rockstar studio. Take-Two plans on having one major sequel release from Rockstar each season of next year, with MC:LA for winter, GTAIV for spring, MP3 in either summer or fall....and DNF (Duke Nukem Forever for those who do not like acronyms) in either summer or fall (whichever one that MP3 does not come out in).
Also, Take-Two plans on introducing Bioshock swag, starting with various items featuring the recently-trademarked "Every Man Has a Choice, I Chose the Impossible."
UPDATE: A source close to the title has informed me that Max Payne 3 is being developed for PS3 as well. And another source tells me that the game is being developed in Vancouver.

That must be wrong/fake. It mentions Duke Nukem Forever being released. We all know the apocalypse is near, if that happens.

I'm all for a Max Payne movie, and Marky Mark looks and could fit the part. But John Moore set to direct? That man is awful. His films are as soulless as a Michael Bay movie but don't have the same visual brilliance or breathtaking action. It'll blow.

If Mark Wahlberg's in it, maybe they could write some Vietnamese gangsters into the plot for him to beat the shit out of.

He kicked ass in "The Departed". So I`m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt so far for this one.

Oh (
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0467197/) it's on, is it?
So they got the guy who directed Behind Enemy Lines, the guy who wrote Saw 4 and Mark Wahlberg on it. No reason to get too exceited about this so far. :erg:

PG-13 rating
That's worrying me alot. Violence is a huge part of Max Payne. Everything revolves around it, so if it's made out to be kiddy stuff, it's going to be shit. It needs to be Noir-ish, "ultra-realish" violence.

And there already is a brilliant Max Payneish movie - Death Sentence.
