I'm going to take a wild guess and say he gets killed around half-way through the movie.
After a lengthy shoot out in a parking garage no doubt.
I just wonder whether there'll be room for a second mentor character in the form of Alex Balder (you know, the guy who gets killed in the beginning of the game) or whether they'll combine several characters into one. Hell, they could combine Balder, B.B, Bravura, and Woden and get one mega mentor character. Might as well throw in Vlad while they're at it.

I think Mila Kunis will be alright in this one. Mark Wahlberg too. I think it'll all be good. It could so easily just have been another
renegade cop playing by nobody's rules but his own actionmovie but it looks like they're trying to do more than that.

Definitely seems they're introducing a supernatural element. Not too hot on that.
On the flip side, a lot of the scenes are just spot-on Max Payneish it's amazing.

Heard the script is shitty. Although set-wise movie is pretty faithful to Max Payne 1, lotta recognizable locales.
The Valkyries are supposed to be drug-induced illusions. That gets asked a lot.

I can live with the script being a little shitty. I've been playing the original game and the voice acting sometimes is just hrhrhrrhrhga;lfsja;ldsfhja;lsfjd NO

Hey, at least we won't be treated to any thickly vivid prose - 'twilight crawled across the sky, laden with foreboding', indeed. Okay, maybe we won't. At least Wahlberg doesn't come across as overly constipated, from what I can see. :D
But anyway - that is one very slick trailer. Looks like it's treating its source material with a measure of grace. Also, and more importantly, it looks like it could be an entertaining watch. I don't think I'd be able to avoid this movie even if I wanted to.

I'm starting to let my guard down for this one...maybe it's because I loved the game and this trailer seems to have the same feel that made the game so unique. I guess only time will tell.

Since there's a chance there are some Max Payne fans in this thread... ;)
I've decided to postpone the playthrough of Double Agent (better than its reputation, although it could've been improved in so many ways), Call of Duty 4 and Shivering Isle until I get a GTX 260 (probably in October or November - my decision is based on the card's compatibility with Thief and System Shock 2, among other things). Instead I'll replay some old games, including Max Payne 2 and Escape from Butcher Bay.
Any tips for good mods for Max Payne 2? I'm not looking for anything that changes the gameplay radically; I'm more interested in worthwhile cosmetic improvements and the like.
