So now Max is a junkie struggling w/the side-effects of Valkyr? He takes it so he can have the same 'edge' in combat that they do?

Er, to be fair Max struggled with the side-effects of Valkyr in the first game too.

Of course I paid attention, jizzgenius. In case you haven't noticed, I do not place much stock in the "it's just the junkie hallucinations" theory because I actually read the synopsis of this fucking movie. It looks to be, basically, The Matrix meets Constantine with no Keanu Reeves.
I've also read the synopsis and that's not what it looks to be. At all. Shithead.

Actually, I know what dethtoll's on about. From the official site:
Quote:
Maverick cop Max Payne (Wahlberg) is hell-bent on revenge against those responsible for the brutal murder of his family and partner. His obsessive investigation takes him on a nightmarish journey into a dark underworld. As the mystery deepens, Max is forced to battle enemies beyond the natural world and face an unthinkable betrayal.
Confusing, ain't it?

I'll say. But dis is HOLLYWOOD. I'd apply Occam's Razor to sort this out, but I'd probably end up bleeding over my collection of M. Night Shyamalan movies.
Also, let me go on record to say that The Matrix cross-dressing like Constantine sans Keanu would actually be a good thing.
Just add more Monica Belucci to it. ;)

Why on earth do you posess a collection of Shyamamalalamalayan movies? He's only made one that's any good...
Sulphur on 4/9/2008 at 17:11
Because I keep hoping against hope that he'll actually make a movie that isn't predictable, boring, and based on a twist that you can see from a mile away.
Yeah, I know. More fool me. :erg: At least, Unbreakable was pretty damn alright, I thought.

Remember when the junkies would shout about "THE FLESH OF FALLEN ANGELS!!!!!!1"?
That's where.
People are still saying those are just drug-induced visions in the movie, but i'm not so sure, seems to me like they really are introducing a supernatural element :/
There is a slightly different version of that first trailer somewhere where you can clearly see the angels disappear after that large group of them smash into that window.
Of course they might play it that way for a while and then introduce some dumb supernatural element later.

Why does every America action movie have to be PG-13? Why does that rating even exist in the first place?
