There's information on the map's location in Old Quarter

You've heard of the 'flight or fight' reaction to a sudden scare? Well, my husband will never try to spook me when I'm at my PC again, I'll tell ya.

Flashbombs. Make sure you've got lots of 'em. :cheeky:

I spent 20 minutes sitting outside a particular attic door(everyone knows what I'm talking about) before working up the courage to open it.
Yeah; sometimes you're your own worst enemy! I did the exact same thing. :o

It's very enriching to explore the Cradle, just as enriching as exploring the mind of a madman. That's why I feel like at home in my own mind. :ebil:

Plus I'll turn off my computer speakers.
Please don't do that, as you'll miss a very important (and admittedly creepy) aspect of the mission otherwise. You can still have your radio running in the background, no problem ;)

by the sound of it you get immersed into games easily, like me. Just remember to leave the game before and after you play it to remember real life :thumb:

Well, like I said, your "Ominous Bequest" was about the max on my creepiness-tolerance level. (I had a good idea what I'd find in that boarded-up room, but still... And that giant head - gaah!)
There've been times (mostly in Rowena's Curse) where I just found it easier to unplug the headphones before continuing. :p
Actually, you know, I have another question that's related. I've found that I absolutely
cannot play Thief 1/2 during the day. Even with the blinds drawn in the living room and the gamma cranked up to ugly levels, the game is just too dark for me to see clearly. So I can only play at night when the sun is down and the lamps are dimmed.
How is it for T3? (Ok, more to the point, how is it for Shalebridge Cradle?) Can the game be played in normal daylight hours, or are you still creeping around a dark city ducking into dark houses and looking for black objects on dim shelves?
The Cradle + me + nighttime = shortened life expectancy.

Thief III's the same as the previous games. Things are much clearer and easier to see when the room you're in is dark. The darker, the better. So either play during the night (the best time :thumb:) or turn off the lights in your room, and pull blinds over your windows (and if it's still too bright, I dunno.... put thick blankets over your windows. I did that once and it made my room pitch black).

I found that tacking up blankets over the windows helped. Of course, my family thinks I've been watching too many conspiracy movies and are encouraging me to 'get help', (I think it worries them when I suddenly yell, 'Keep the noise down or you'll give my position away you fools!') but at least I can see what I'm doing in the games & FMs. ;)

Just remember to stock up on supplies before you head into the cradle and it won't be nearly as scary.
Most deffinetly! I went in without all the supplies I should have had, and...let's just say playing through this level would have been a LOT easier if I had been more prepared. I won't give away much, but I recommend lots of either fire arrows, Holy Water, or both. Probably fire arrows, because they are easier to obtain and you can take Them out at a distance;) Which is good for us wussy types.
