Just thought you'd like to know that the Beeb has a drama that may interest Thief fans coming up this Wednesday, 23.4 on BBC4.
Promisingly, set in 1302 and based on a true story, 'Heist' features a daring raid on Westminster Abbey. Unpromisingly, it stars Kris Marshall out of My Family and those crap BT adverts with the MILF, and seems to come from the 'Knights Tale' school of historical drama with loud anachronistic pop music over every scene.
You can watch a bit of it (
http://www.bbc.co.uk/bbcfour/medieval/heist.shtml) here, The beginning certainly reminded me of a Thief cut scene, by which I mean that I had to crank the gamma way up on my geriatric monitor to make the durn thing tolerable.

Brill, great start to the Medieval Re-enactment season. Now lets go 'ang some French! :)
That comment was for historical purposes only.

Looks interesting......... Hum. I’m gld that here is not so much red-hot poker wielding in Thief. (Ouch) See what you mean about the beginning, very Thief-ish indeed.

Looks as good as the Dark Ages, directed by Steve Bendelack, writen by Rob Grant.
Let's hope they don't bring up 'shaved weazle pie' :laff:

Thanks very much for the info. I'll have a look. Kris Marshal is a bit of dork that's for sure. And the trailer doesn't look that promising but, the BBC has a good reputation for dramas so it may turn out well.

Well someone Uk side could download it and sling it up on an xdrive account or suchlike- I might think about it if there's much demand.
Just finished watching it. I liked it.

you'd need a copy someone recorded with a PVR or dvd recorder, iplayer downloads are loaded with DRM and only play on the machine that does the download
