These are the kinds of missions I play Thief for. Loot, climbing objects, using rope and water arrows, creative routes, plenty of guards to sneak past or knock out. Being able to play the mission differently every time. I can't really stand missions that drop you into a town or something and then have all of the doors locked by keys,anything above ground level is inaccessible, or just don't even give you lockpicks. Shipping and Receiving, First Bank for official missions, Art of Thievery and Heist Society for FM's. That probably sounds like just mansion type FM's, but church, town, rooftop are all fine. As long as the focus is on sneaking and finding loot, not hunting for the right door to open or frobbing for the correct objects. How can I find that sort of mission?

Also, anything by Melan and bbb. If you like getting loot, you'll love bbb's missions: they're all sprinkled with it! And they also hit all of the criteria described by you.

What they said above, plus the new ones Behind Closed Doors and Godbreaker (mission 4 is mostly the one that will meet your criteria).
Seven Sisters is good - the first two missions have some serious city exploration.

Actually, mission 2 is also large, nonlinear and focused on stealth, it's just set in a swamp and not a city.

Godbreaker mission 2 is fantastic, but I'm not sure it will satisfy these criteria. There's quite a lot of searching for specific items. Doesn't bother me, though! :)

I have Godbreaker and haven't tried it.
Behind Closed Doors crashes when I try to load the map. I don't know why.

Do you have mods installed? I recall having similar issues, but turning off enhancement patch fixed it, IIRC.
Also, I still whole heartedly recommend the entire GB campaign, just know that there might be a little object hunting in it. For the most part things are placed logically though, so there was very little frustration for me.

I don't think I have any T2 mods installed. Just the NewDark that comes automatically on the Steam version, and I load maps with FMSel.
Endless Rain looks good, but I'm having some trouble getting TG at 1920 x 1080 and getting it to open FMSel. Haven't used Thief Gold in quite a while, I don't remember what fixes to use.

I didn't think Newdark came with the steam version. I think it was ddfix. You'll definitely want to update to Newdark.
