Wait for the next version - should be out in a few weeks. I'll probably post another update in the project thread next weekend.

The third test map is out and the first post has been updated accordingly. This is the first version that plays like the original City.
As noted, there's an issue with a brief pause or stutter when you cross a City section border. This is due to all the scripts that used to fire on map start but now fire when you enter a section of the merged map. Most of these scripts were fixed automatically and at least some don't actually need to be changed. For instance, making something visible on game day 5 will still work fine if done at the start of the merged map. So finding and reverting those scripts would improve the issue. Not sure if it can be eliminated completely. But at least it's much less immersion breaking than having an "are you sure you want to go to Stonemarket?" pop-up thrown at you.
A couple of original bugs have been fixed: In the end game, the Eye has six voice-overs, one for each section except South Quarter, which has two. The one in Auldale didn't play and the two in South Quarter would overlap. Fixed now. Also, the statistics in the orig game were quite borked... The numbers on the Crime Report posters should now be correct. The more detailed stats in the Total For Game section of mission debriefings may still need fixing.

Hey snobel! Good to see you still working on T3 =). It is exciting to see T3 getting more improvements. Does the T3 engine have a considerable amount of resource space to continue to add on to the city map in the future when you get most of the bugs worked out or will the current unified map max this out? It would be amazing if future modders could add new sections onto the map.

I downloaded the first two tests soon as they were available. When I got home today I did the same. Using the latest AngelLoader. Put the .7z in the same folder I always have and launched AngelLoader. Got an error. I haven't tried extracting the mission and putting it in a .zip file yet:

So I took the .7z file and extracted everything, put it in a regular .zip file. Then AngelLoader loaded it fine.
I am using 1.1.12.502, when launching the missions it shows your objectives. Then I hit start...........I get a notification I picked up a bunch of items and then it says "You are trying to end the mission, are you sure?" If I hit yes it ends the mission and continues on as if I got the Opal. City not merged.
If I hit no, I am stuck inside a black void, and I cannot do anything.
Anyone else get this to run with AngelLoader? Trying to see if its my PC or if its the mission file itself.

The current map is just about max, unfortunately. If there were room for more, then Auldale1 would be a part of the main City map. Together with Adsk1 I did some experiments which showed that by simplifying the brushwork it may
just be possible to make room for new bits in order to get rid of the two remaining intra-map teleporters. But that won't happen for the first release.

Must be a 7-zip version mismatch somehow. I'll repack and re-upload it tomorrow.

The first part is normal. The missions are placeholders, as described in the first post. "City not merged" I can't explain. The placeholders launch to a map named "City" - if you get a running map it should be the merged City?!
Edit: Maybe I can explain it - check that the unpacked FM has 10 files in Content/T3/TriggerScript/DynamicallyLoaded. Those are override scripts which will eventually be used to select between the merged and unmerged City. If they're not there, then currently the unmerged maps will be launched.

Just press Shift+Ctrl+Alt+End.

I've moved most of the project to Linux and I packed up the test map there without really thinking about it - probably not a good idea. I'll repack it tomorrow on my now-airgapped out-of-support Win10 laptop and reupload...
Moving to Linux is understandable but for any gaming project you should make all releases Windows 11 compatible as according to the latest stats only 3% of gamers are on Linux greatly limiting your test pool.

I did this, and there is a looooong loading screen. I assume this is because its loading the entire city. I start in my apartment. The guard says "oh its just you" then I go out in front of my apartment and there is no portal out. However every gate has bars and its on the "sell the Blood Opal" mission. I tried selling talking to the fence and running past the guards but there are portals, not a merged city.

The .zip file I made for AngelLoaded has 10 files in that location but I don't know where AngelLoader keeps "unpacked" missions. I just tried searching. Not sure.
