Well, the lack of any festive type thread has forced my hand! C'mon you miserable bastards, lets enjoy it. So how about food? I went for a different kinda meal this year, steering away from the traditional fare.
So we had an asian style lunch that consisted of:
Cold noodle salad with asian greens and sesame dressing
Various rolls of sushi(homemade)
Sechuan salt and pepper prawns with lime + chili mayo
Indonesian style chicken satay wings
and for desert a homemade rasberry icrecream log that was fucking insane.
To top it off I received a scanpan frypan, probly the most expensive piece of cookware I now own :thumb:

Merry Xmas Losers! Hope you all have a less disappointing day than last years debacle!
We haven't eaten yet, nor opened presents.

Christmas is already over for me and I'm not too sad about it. We had my own and my girlfriend's families here and it was somewhat emotionally challenging at times. However the food we made was excellent, a fondue in oil with dozens of sauces, various sorts of meat, vegetables, etc.
The loot list also looks good, I got a Carom board, a longboard ((

Yep, that's what I've been stuffing myself with for the past two days. Today, we call it Vánočka in Czech (literally "Christmas bun"). Many variations are made, with walnuts, dried fruits, almonds, you name it.
Apart from that, it was the traditional fish soup (this year cooked by yours truly), then deep-fried carp & potato salad, and of course lots and lots of Christmas sweets and pastries. Can't believe I haven't blown up yet. Well, I guess a few more can't hurt...
Re: presents, I got plenty of stuff, no books this year apart from those I bought myself. The gifts I've enjoyed the most can't be purchased or packed anyway :)

Those look delicious.
For Christmas Eve I went to my grandparents' for a couple hours, during which I gave mom her Kindle Fire (which she has officially gone completely bonkers for) and then I went up to my dad's. From there, dad drove me to his sister's where we spend every Christmas Eve. Had a nice dinner, traded presents (though I did get a 2nd copy of a book I already own; fortunately she still had the Amazon receipt so I'm returning it for the next book in the series.)
Then I came home and was given all 4 seasons of Batman: The Animated Series, which I then stayed up late watching. It's good to be 12 again.
My haul wasn't bad this year. A lot of Batman in it.
Tonight will be spent at grandparents' (who desperately need the company, to be perfectly fucking honest.)
