I can be as patient as you like, Ravenhook, but I'm having a hard time following what you're saying. Where did the "femsun1" .bin file come from? Is that one of Purgator's?
Ravenhook on 7/3/2017 at 20:10
T2X
Tannar on 7/3/2017 at 20:16
Ah. Okay, so the model femsun1.bin uses the texture veaif2a, is that correct?
Ravenhook on 7/3/2017 at 20:25
Yes, it is...I opened up the femsun1.bin as per your instructions with notepad and that was the texture noted there but as a .bmp..confusing isnt it.
Tannar on 7/3/2017 at 20:39
Well, that part's not confusing, but let me be sure I understand the steps you took:
1. You created a new archetype by highlighting FemaleNoble and clicking ADD
2. You named your new archetype FatNoble_1
3. You edited this archetype's properties and changed Shape > Model Name to femsun1
4. You created a child of this archetype and got the girl in the red dress
5. You edited this child's properties and added the Mesh Textures property where you put veaif2a.bmp into the top Texture in Model box
6. You put veaif2ad.png into the replacement texture box
The result of this is that you still have the woman in the red dress, but the warnings went away? Is that right?
Please read what I wrote carefully, including spelling, and verify if this is correct.
Ravenhook on 7/3/2017 at 20:45
Yes including the spelling.
Tannar on 7/3/2017 at 20:50
Okay. Can you look in your mesh/txt16 folder and verify that the texture veaif2ad.png is there and that the file name is spelled the same? I'm just trying to eliminate the obvious possibilities first.
Ravenhook on 7/3/2017 at 21:15
Yes it is the same and it has a picture which is the black dress

Sorry for interrupting the flow of this exchange.
The femsun1 model will only accept a texture named veaif2a. This cannot be changed in Renderer/Mesh Texture. It's a quirk of the custom Mesh, I'm afraid. LGS models will allow this, it made life easier for the devs. A lot of custom AI work from Jason Otto, Tdbonko and T2X will not allow you to change the texture in the aforementioned method.
If you want separate Black Dress/Red Dress AI, you will have to create a new model. Make a copy of the femsun1.bin/cal files rename them and edit the bin file to point to the desired texture. I can do this for you, if you wish.
All of my dress textures were named veaif2a (with Photobucket's annoying extra extension). I was just offering a choice of drop in replacement.
I was reluctant to provide a pack with the models included, due to usage restrictions.

Thanks, Purgator. I was just wondering if it was something like that. Good to know.
