Big Boss is a legend:thumb:
Can't wait.
Is there a release date yet?

Look it up yourself. It's not like you'll actually buy the game, pirating scumbag.

With games that I really want, I usually buy them legit to get all the fancy stuff and MGS is no exception.

A ten minute trailer is also out.
Looks a little more pedantic than MGS4, but I'll still definitely get it. I just have the fears about the controls - I *still* haven't finished Portable Ops because I couldn't find a control scheme that let me move, shoot, and move the camera simultaneously.

Ditto. The Portable Ops controls are utterly dreadful.

That said, Portable Ops basically wanted you to use the d-pad, the face buttons, and the analog stick all at once (which really requires three hands). It sounds like this is making all shooting/action context-sensitive on the triggers, with the d-pad only for weapon switching and such, so you *should* be able to play it with two hands.
Despite the weak script, I *really* want to finish Portable Ops just for the sake of completism, but with controls like that it's *really fucking hard*. I swear, if the game had cheats I'd actually use them.
Also, I swear we're the only people on this forum who give a rat's ass about MGS:P

I'd love to give a rat's ass about MGS, but it's like every game is exclusive to different fucking consoles. All I have is a PC and a PS2, and I'm not gonna buy a PSP too just to play the two MGS games on it.

I actually didn't find the controls that hard to master.
And it is worth finishing just for the story alone, the ending is just as epic as the other MGS games(they even threw in another tear jerking moment).
I actually got the PSP second hand with MG:PO in mind and as usual eBay had the best prices. Lucky for me it also had custom firmware:cheeky:
Oh yes and I agree with your last statement.

I assume you're referring to the latest games and not MGS 1-3? Cause you can play all of them on your PS2.
