Yahtzee writes lengthy and considered articles on games and games design every week.
He's a games journalist.

I find some of his stuff (Angry Joe) not funny, but some of his other stuff is hilarious. His review of XCOM (the firaxis one) + this one (Metro: last light) was excellent. On the overall whole I quite like his reviews. Trust them more than I trust ign.com for example.
James Rolfe (aka AVGN) tends to stay away from reviews of newer games and sticks more to the retro console game end of the scale (ala Atari 2600/Colecovision - PS2/Gamecube timeframe).

I really trusted antisocialfatman's reviews, they were honest and to the point. But since he is gone, is there anyone as credible as he was?

James Rolfe doesn't review games, he makes entertainment pieces.

Wow. That was both the best-looking game I've ever played and the best linear FPS with semi-open arenas since Half-Life 2.
Oh sure, the ending is rushed, the difficulty is pretty low on normal, the AI isn't all that great, some animations and scripted sequences are a bit stiff, the sex scene feels both predictable and tacked on and there are occasional glitches and crashes. Don't expect it to be as hardcore as Metro 2033, especially with regards to sneaking: it's much easier this time.
On the other hand, everything else is golden. The shooting and weapons feel great. The gear is really useful, I was amazed to see that I was using the different tools (flashlight, lighter, nightvision, compass) as well as the weapons when the need arose without any one of them feeling useless. The visuals and level design are beautiful. The story is pleasant to follow. In terms of atmosphere and pacing, it beats basically everyone including S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
I'm comparing it to HL2 on purpose because this is the kind of game you have to like in order to enjoy Metro: LL at its best. Koki would probably prefer Metro 2033.
You have to go from setpiece to setpiece and that includes lengthy exposition with barely any gameplay. I don't think there is as much shooting as the previous game. But as an interactive experience, it's among the best the FPS genre has to offer.

It's deffo worth it, even at full price. Best half-life 2 since half-life 2.

Also the new DLC is out. It's eh... OK. Waves of enemies. Quite hard.

There is nothing to review about the games he tries: they are all pure goat sh** whose devs deserves to be cursed and get rotten as chickens for eternity in hell.
I heard he was going to make his own game in an 8 bit style, parodying Nes and Mastersystem titles.
