I found LastLight to be a fitting sequel, even if they ditched the "hippie" ending from Metro2033, contradicting themselves (not the book).
It had more monsters, more "above ground", a much shorter chasesequence - that somehow still managed to be as boring, bland and useless as in Metro2033 -and more exploration...BUT
on the other hand it decided to use QTEs again .. aaargh and even worse: 3 bossfights, one of which (bear mama) that made me cringe in disgust.
For a game taking so much great care about details, atmosphere, architecture and dressing up its invisible barriers that last bossfight was just ridiculous.
Not in terms of difficulty, just in terms of how bad it was setup, how bad it is to have a boss arena in the middle of a real location in moskow and having to have a 2ndary char explain you the mechanics of the fight.
And it still had the usual "follow this guy and wait for his event triggers" "gameplay". Everything else was top-notch though.
Decision to not being able to map 2ndary weapons to keys, therefore having to remember exact positions of them while using ranger mode was incredibly stupid though.
I love ranger hardcore because of the scarcity of ammo and higher difficulty, having to fight the controls is NOT hardcore.
Last level is epic. I just could let go and forget all that no-killing I did the previous levels, even avoided most monsters.

Robert, don't take it personally, Dethtoll is ornery, but he does it to everyone - it's just your turn :)
Consider it a "welcome to TTLG" ceremony. You're simply not here until Dethtoll has had a few pops at you. Evaunit & ZylonBane are also pretty good value for money that way. Shame you missed out on Koki though.

Adding certain ppl to your "Ignore List" is always an option. I suggest you take it, it made reading the forum much better for me. You only get to read the replies which is much more entertaining than having to read some off-topic bile spewed out by a few users.
