Again, not a ghost town, but I think the photo-series-par-excellence on this subject is Yves Marchand's (

Side note: I was at an art gallery opening last year in which pictures of houses in Detroit were going for hundreds-to-thousands of dollars. You could also purchase the subject houses - in each instance for less than the photograph.
