"niche game for a specific audience"
okay, what sort of blackmail do you have on the poor devs that they'd make a game just for you? i mean you're just gonna hate it anyway

Hope that you get to have your own stronghold in this one just as with "For Blood and Honor". It's the little extras that make all the difference in some rpgs.
Well the stronghold + the tower attack mini game was pretty fun also.

the tower attack mini game
Yes, Arcomage.
Unfortunately, they will not have the time/resources to get it into part X, but they have listened to the fans from the start and have incorporated so many of our suggestions, and they have basically promised Arcomage for part XI.
These are good days we are living bros!

Well I've not played any others in the series after Day of the Destroyer (8th game in the series).
For me the golden age for these games was from Darkside of Xeen (part 5) to For Blood and Honor (part 7). That said I've never played 1-4 yet. One of these days I need to go and play this series from the beginning to end, same with the Ultima series.

Random thoughts as I watch the video:
* Will there be voices in the game for store vendors? Every M&M game has had them since Darkside of Xeen. Without them + quest givers, the game seems so quiet.
* I see they got rid of having to train at a training vendor to level up. Now its done on the fly.
* I like the bestiary. Gives players a reason to hunt down specific enemy types. Be nice if there were rewards (ie increased dmg etc) for once you know several of a specific enemy type.
* Automap looks very simple. That could use some major touching up.
* Cool, they kept the skill system as is + having to go to vendors to upgrade those when your skill is sufficient enough.
