After starting the game and opening the scroll, I didn't really read it, (that's why I got stuck at the beginning).

I was standing at the gate and since I had no more ways where to go, started to frob like crazy around that gate and probably got the lever on the other side. Sometimes it works, I have done that in other missions.

It's probably not necessary to break the ape with the explosive charge out of jail. I tried, but the jaildoor did not open anyway.

I'm stuck. [SPOILER]I have the talismans for Eternity anf Force, but just ended up back in the prison/city area. I can't open the gate to the temple, and don't see what I am supposed to do next.[/SPOILER] Helpful hints would be appreciated.

Here is what you have to do.
[SPOILER]If you got the talsman of force, you made it to the monkey village. You have to get up on the roofs of the huts that are attached and jump over to a cliff. Behind a rock is a cave. You will figure what to so after that.[/SPOILER]

I'm a little confused. I'm at the part where there are [SPOILER] two apebeasts in a conversation. One places a bomb on the portculis etc. Either the bomb kills the ape inside if I am on the ledge facing that jail, or if I break my way through the side door the ape inside the jail hears me and for some reason is able to walk through the portculis to look for me. I don't think either one is Joe because neither of them trys to leave. [/SPOILER]

Well...
[SPOILER]...first time I almost died because of explosion, then guards killed both apes. After reloading, I stayed above and moved out of bomb reach. Now one ape died of explosion, other by guards...and later I killed guards and carried on. Btw, if doors stay closed I think it's not a big deal, as very similar, if not same scroll you will find at the end.[/SPOILER]

I've got all 4 talismans but need a clue as to where to throw them.
I thought the temple of fire was the lava temple but that didn't work.

[SPOILER]Temple is where you got 4th talisman, right close to starting point. You have to mantle up on nearby hut, and jump onto temple. There you'll see fires. Can't remember where each talisman goes, but you'll hear bell ringing when it's correct.[/SPOILER]
