Everything in this FM is what thief is all about and more.
I miss the adventure and raw enviroments of which this had for sure.
I remember a hammer AI who heard me coming and was in a stance with his hammer weapon held up high, like he was going to turn around and wallop me as i snuck up on him. "hilarious"
And getting the zombies to follow me up to where three guards were on a purch and watch them duel it out. One of the Archers continued to fire arrows in to the zombies even after he was layed out on the floor. So then i make my move on him.
I think the element of surprise at any rate is what really makes the authors magicians.
How about the secret in the cemetary and while climbing down a ladder a door swings open under my feet and then dropping down to thwart an undead, now awaits a trap on some stairs -didn't know it was coming and just when i saw the little rectangular slit in the wall before I duck.. ZAP ZAP.
I liked the exits high to get out of places and to achieve objectives- very cool
The apes with the darts are a marvel-when i was climbing out of the cavern and was making a dash for another cave entrance from a long green tree trunk looking walkway.
An ape shot me with his dart and i was knocked off WHILE RUNNING!
HAHA
That was something that had never happened to me before.
Thanks for a real immersive experience bbb.

well until the bug with the explosive is fixed i can't finish this.

Think that bug doesn't interfere with mission objectives. If you're thinking about freeing Mighty Joe.

shadows - yes you can finish. When you read the Jail Journal your objectives change from
Break the Apes out of jail, follow Joe
to
Locate Mighty Joe Young and get clues
You have located him - the important clue is one of the keys in the other hut. The info in the scroll is not vital and is repeated in other readables later.
One of the things I like about this mission is that it varies every time through.
When you release the apes, the number of guards left standing after the fight could be anything between zero and seven - you can help the apes by taking a couple of guards out yourself, and/or toggling the switch. The bomb may or may not blow the door open, and it may or may not kill MJY in the process - it doesn't matter!
ok, then i'll try and finish this mission.

shadows & John9818a - you must read the Jail Journal, or the objectives won't change. It's in the back room in the lower jail (where the apes fought the guards) next to the Back Prison Gate key
