Mildly aggravated.... almost

This is something most of us have learned to tolerate...

But I am getting mildly aggravated but constantly having to restore Thief 1/2/3 from my zipped backups and if its not that its reinstalling garretloader when it comes up with ones of its runtime errors....

I wonder when it will reach a point when enough is enough...

Yeah, what are you doing to cause this? I haven't had any errors, since I don't remember when? I hope you sort things out. I still use darkloader.

i just use darkloader and i haven't had a single problem to-date ^_^

nothing that I know off... other than using vista...

Various issues happen on a semi regular basis:-

# An FM will break T2/T3 - so restore from zipped backup.
# The sound in T1/T2 will just stop working, non of the useal common sense fixes apply - so restore from zipped backup.
# T3 will just refuse to load, ie T3.exe and T3main.exe will load in the background and nada - so restore from zipped backup.
# Garretloader will come up with a runtime error (I think 43) - so I just reinstall.

Those are the main 4 that aggravate, there are other but I cant remember atm. Ive had enough for now so I'm off to play some new HL2 single player mods I've just found....

Sounds like you either need to get an XP machine for your taffing or just accept the problems and be glad they're so easy to fix.

I've had Vista for over a year now, and can run T2 FM's without problems. I don't play T1 Fm's, haven't in a long long time. Of course running DDFix and the widescreen patch. Sounds like its isolated to you Biker, there has to be a solution, good luck. Try darkloader, start from the beginning, go back to darkloader, and see if you get the errors.

Doing a quick google search, you aren't the only one with runtime errors using garrettloader, and having to reinstall. Me thinks partial issue with garrettloader. Of course I understand wanting to play T3 FM's. I would be curious to what your results would be just using darkloader for a bit, and run some FM's, see how long you can go without errors.
