But, good to get hold of you, I was missing the credits for the music and sound at the end. I liked a few ambient tracks and was wondering whether one is able to get them for private playlist and/or even use it somewhere else (i.e. license it to use it elsewhere).
(
http://www.whatisnous.com/NousMusic.zip) Grab the music here.
Unfortunately I don't have the ability to grant you rights to the music; it's copyright DigiPen. But! You can make it yourself. We used a program called (
http://hypermammut.sourceforge.net/paulstretch/) PaulStretch to make the tracks; some are classical pieces from a licensed sound library and others are custom pieces made and then stretched. Play around with tracks with PaulStretch (set it to about x8 slower) and you can find some good stuff. Useful for ambient tracks.

Thumbs up, Brett. Cheers to you for your crew experimenting with game design enough to put a smile on my jaded face. Best of luck in the future.

OK, 2 problems and I haven't even started the game yet. 1, I don't have windows installed on C:, but the desktop shortcut still points to c:\program files\etc - wouldn't let me change it either.
2, when I try to start after finding the file, it crashes with an access denied to user\Pictures\Slideshows.
I can run it as an admin, but doing so is really bad policy.

Interesting! There's reasons for that...I'll talk to the other guys and see if we can do anything about it.

Played it, also thoroughly enjoyed it. Some days I regret not going to Digipen. In the end I think a more generalist liberal arts education was probably the best for me, but they do great stuff there.

Can you tell me what your video card is and graphics driver version?

Treb here, tech director on Nous. That graphics bug is interesting indeed. It looks like the motion blur is going rogue and blurring towards the bottom left corner on every object. Sprites and text are after the blur pass which explains why we only see it on the particles and mesh. Most likely we are doing something bad in DX and your card takes exception to it, or NVIDIA has flawed Fermi drivers. I would expect it's us, but I'm looking at our graphics code and the motion blur part is pretty standard. It's always tricky to debug when I can't reproduce the problem on my side though :P.
So long story short I'm not sure if I can fix this one... Best I can do for now is give you a patch that will remove motion blur. If motion blur isn't working who knows what else might go wrong, so this is kind of a stretch but it's the best I can do for now.
If you're interested you can put whatisnous.com/Model.fxo into
C:\Program Files (x86)\DigiPen\Nous\Resources\FX\
Modified to match your installation directory. Overwriting the Model.fxo already there.
I'll also look into the installation and admin rights stuff.

Now that is what I call quality service. :D

No doubt! How'd you guys find you way here, btw? I have played it through around 4-5 times so far and showed several friends, all of whom were terrible impressed.
